Kentucky Wildcats vs. Cornell Big Red

John Wall of Kentucky

John Wall of Kentucky

The Wildcats thrashed their opponents by 29 and 30 points this tournament. Three of their players averaged 14.9 ppg or above and 4 players average 10.0 ppg or above. All of their starters are hot. Any of them can score 20 points and is ready to beat Cornell. They went 34-2 this season and have great players who can all score, rebound, assist.

The Big Red and also known as the representative of the Ivy League. Not only do they can score 2400 on SAT, but also they can score 87 in a basketball game. They went 28-4 this season and Ryan Wittman, forward, averaged 17.6 points per game. They had two big upsets in-a-row and are ready for more. They play smart on the court.

We will see John Wall doing his dance after the game because the Wildcats are going to win. Cornell’s big upsets might surprised Kentucky but Kentucky’s amazing players will manage to the victory.

Washington Huskies vs. W. Virginia Mountaineers

The Huskies went 26-9 this season. Isaiah Thomas and Quincy Pondexter were stars of the previous games. Pondexter scored winning shot with 1.7 seconds left in the game. Thomas scored 19 points. The Huskies can score and they have several players who can score double digit.

The Mountaineers went 28-6 this year and is ready to move on to the Elite 8. Their 6 losses are all against great teams such as Purdue, Notre Dame, Syracuse. De’Sean Butler averaged 17.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg. Three of the Mountaineers averaged over 12.0 ppg and one averaged 9.6 ppg. The Mountaineers are good team and have potential to win this game.

It would be a close match and is very hard to guess the winning team. However, I pick the Mountaineers due to their players.
